James Schmidt
James is an Associate at Blacklock Law Firm, practicing exclusively in the area of insurance defence.
Prior to joining Blacklock Law Firm, James worked as an associate at a highly regarded Toronto insurance litigation firm where he worked on a range of matters, including tort, AB, product liability, commercial general liability, property loss and priority dispute claims.
James was Called to the Bar in 2015, after completed his law degree at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2014. He graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University in 2011.
Outside the office, James enjoys hiking, trivia, catching up on his favourite podcasts, going to the gym, spending time in cottage country, and, most of all, spending time with his friends and family.
