Stefano Tesoro
Stefano is a dedicated insurance defence litigation lawyer with extensive experience handling occupiers’ liability, commercial liability, motor vehicle accident claims, statutory accident benefits, and subrogation matters. Stefano was called to the bar in Ontario in 2019.
Before joining Blacklock Law Firm, Stefano practiced at several leading insurance defence firms and served as in-house defence counsel for a multinational insurer. In these roles, he gained invaluable insight into the complexities of insurance litigation from both a private practice and corporate perspective, allowing him to approach cases with a well-rounded and pragmatic strategy.
Stefano has successfully represented clients before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Small Claims Court, as well as before various boards and tribunals. His courtroom experience, combined with a meticulous approach to case preparation, ensures that his clients receive strong and thorough representation at every stage of litigation.
Stefano earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. He also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science from the University of Edinburgh.
Beyond the office, Stefano enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his golden retriever, Monte Cristo.
